CITY OF EVERETT BID SET <br />EVERETT STATION HVAC AND CONTROLS IMPROVEMENTS <br />PROJECT NO. 24-3201 <br /> <br />01 33 00 - 2 SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES <br />responsibility for deviations from the contract documents. The approval of any shop drawings that <br />substantially deviates from the requirements of the contract documents shall be evidenced by change order. <br />2.02 SAMPLES <br /> Unless otherwise specifically directed by the Architect/Engineer, all samples shall be of the precise article <br />proposed to be furnished. <br /> Submit the number of samples that are required to be returned plus two (2) that will be retained by the <br />Architect/Engineer. <br />EXECUTION <br />3.01 IDENTIFICATION OF SUBMITTALS <br /> Consecutively number all submittals. Accompany each submittal with a letter of transmittal showing the <br />transmittal number, date of transmittal, specifications section or drawing number to which the submittal <br />pertains, brief description of the material submitted, and the company name of the originator of the <br />submittal. <br /> Maintain an accurate submittal log for the duration of the construction period, showing status of all <br />submittals. Make the log available to the Architect/Engineer upon request. <br />3.02 COORDINATION OF SUBMITTALS <br /> Prior to submittal for Architect/Engineer’s review, use all means necessary to fully coordinate all material, <br />including the following: <br /> Determine and verify all field dimensions and conditions. <br /> Coordinate with all trades and all public agencies. <br /> Secure for and pay all necessary approvals and permits from public agencies having jurisdiction. <br /> Clearly indicate all deviations from the contract documents. <br /> Unless otherwise permitted by the Architect/Engineer, make all submittals in groups containing associated <br />items. The Architect/Engineer may reject partial submittals as not complying with the contract documents. <br />3.03 TIMING OF SUBMITTALS <br /> Within fifteen (15) calendar days from the notice to proceed, submit a Schedule of Submittals identifying the <br />required submittals, anticipated submittal date of submittals, requested review schedule and submittals for <br />which the review and approval is critical to the project schedule. <br /> Make all submittals far enough in advance of scheduled work to provide required time for reviews and <br />delivery of materials. Allow thirty (30) days for the Architect/Engineer’s review following his receipt of the <br />submittal. <br /> Costs of delays caused by tardiness of submittals may be back charged as necessary and shall not be borne <br />by the Owner. <br />END OF SECTION 01 33 00
