Before beginning pipeline excavation, determine the true location and depth of utilities <br />and service connections which may be affected by or affect the Work in accordance with <br />Section 02 01 10, Existing Utilities, Coordination and Relocation. <br />B. Work locating, crossing or adjacent to any utility must be completed in accordance with <br />the Utility Owner’s requirements for protection, notification and stand-by. <br />1. Notify Construction Manager at least 72 hours prior to excavation adjacent to <br />crossing utilities. <br />2. Where utilities are parallel to or cross work, but do not conflict with work, notify the <br />utility owner at least 48 hours in advance of construction at the crossing. Coordinate <br />the construction schedule with the utility owner.
