PGSF WMVD Storm and Combined Sewer - Construction Package 2 Demolition and Salvage <br />Project No. 180162 02 41 00 - 5 <br /> <br />B. TRANSITION STRUCTURE -20th Street AND 36” CIPP Lined RCP <br />1. Remove the existing structure in its entirety in accordance with this section and <br />Section 33 05 04.30. <br />a. Provide bypass pumping of existing sewers and force mains in accordance with <br />Section 33 01 30.50. Coordinate schedule and duration with the Construction <br />manager and Navy facility. <br />2. Demolish existing 36” CIPP lined RCP as required to perform sliplining work and <br />provide manhole SSMH300 (See C-2213) <br />a. Demolish RCP and CIPP in accordance with CIPP liner fabricator requirements. <br />Cut liner with tools suitable to provide neat, cuts. Inspect liner prior to demolition <br />and after removal to demonstrate the liner has not been damaged during <br />demolition. Contractor will be required to repair the existing liner if damaged, up <br />to and including installation of a replacement CIPP Liner. <br />b. Seal the termination of the cut CIPP Liner with approved epoxy coating, neopoxy <br />or approved equal. Roughen remaining CIPP liner a minimum of 4” into the pipe <br />prior to application. <br />c. All concrete or exposed cementitious surfaces must be protected from corrosion. <br />C. FLOW METER VAULT – Lower Norton Avenue <br />1. Remove the existing structure in its entirety in accordance with this section and <br />Section 33 05 04.30. <br />a. Provide bypass pumping of existing sewers and force mains in accordance with <br />Section 33 01 30.50. Coordinate schedule and duration with the Construction <br />manager, Navy facility and City. <br />D. EXISTING 12” CONCRETE SEWER - Lower Norton Avenue <br />1. Remove the existing sanitary sewer and structures as specified, in its entirety in <br />accordance with this section and Section 33 05 04.30. <br />a. Where required, provide bypass pumping of existing sewers in accordance with <br />Section 33 01 30.50. Coordinate schedule and duration with the Construction <br />manager and City. Portions of the sewer shall remain in service to facilitate <br />dewatering activities at the Northeast corner of the PGSF Site. <br />b. The location of existing structures in the area of the North-east gate, Norton <br />Terminal is unknown. Locations are shown based on available record drawings. <br />Remove structures and pipe within the excavation limits. Provide surveyed <br />locations of any existing structures or pipe abandoned in place. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 GENERAL <br />A. Provide all materials and equipment in suitable and adequate quantity as required to <br />accomplish the demolition work shown, specified herein, and as required to complete the <br />Project.
