The Contractor shall submit copies of all notifications made and permits obtained to the <br />Engineer prior to start of work. <br />D. The Contractor shall submit to Washington State Department of Ecology required UST <br />checklists within 14 days of UST removal. Contractor shall submit copies of the UST <br />checklist to Engineer at the same time. <br />1.05 REFERENCES <br />A. Washington State Department of Ecology Guidance for Remediation of Petroleum <br />Contaminated Soils, Publication 91-30. <br />1.06 NOTIFICATION <br />A. Notify the Engineer immediately upon encountering previously unknown USTs. <br />PART 2 NOT USED <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 UST CLEANING <br />A. USTs shall be cleaned prior to removal. Tank(s) cleaning operations shall be in <br />accordance with API Publications 2015, “Cleaning Petroleum Storage Tank(s)”. The <br />tank(s) shall be cleaned by removing liquid and sludge and then rinsing them three <br />times. <br />B. The Contractor shall be responsible for the transport to, and disposal of UST contents at <br />a permitted waste oil recycling facility. The Contractor shall provide documentation to the <br />Engineer within 14 days of disposal stating the name and address of the facility where <br />the contents were disposed. The documentation shall also indicate date and volume of <br />material received, and any analytical results of tank contents required by the receiving <br />facility.
