HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN (HASP) <br />1. The Contractor is required to prepare and maintain for the duration of this Contract, a <br />site-specific HASP to promote the health and protection of all onsite personnel and <br />the environment per Section 01 35 29. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring <br />the HASP is approved by a Certified Industrial Hygienist and any required Ecology <br />approvals prior to submittal to the City for review. <br />2. Assess the potential risks to onsite personnel and the environment and develop site- <br />specific health and safety plan to safely execute the work under this Contract with <br />respect to removal and disposal of contaminated soils. <br />B. CONTAMINATED MATERIAL HANDLING (CMH) PLAN: 21 days after Notice to Proceed <br />1. At a minimum, include the following in the CMH Plan, also referred to in Port’s SGMP: <br />The plan shall be consistent with the Project and Port’s SGMPs. <br />a. Schedule of activities <br />b. Instructing workers in observing and reporting questionable materials and odors, <br />such as refuse, oily sheen or color on soils or water, and oily or chemical odors.
