Site personnel working with contaminated material: <br />a. Received site specific training <br />b. Minimum three (3) years of experience with similar work <br />3. For above Level D protection: <br />a. Have received appropriate safety training in compliance with 29 CFR 1910.120, <br />29 CFR 1910.134, and WAC 296-843-100 <br />b. Minimum of 40 hours health and safety training <br />c. Minimum 24 hours of “on the job” training <br />d. Eight (8) hours annual refresher training <br />e. Annual medical monitoring by an occupational physician <br />B. Perform contamination excavation and disposal work in compliance with applicable <br />statutes and regulations, including the Washington State Model Toxics Control Act, <br />chapter 70.305 RCW (“MTCA”) and associated regulations and Washington State <br />Department of Ecology Guidance. <br />C. Independent Testing Firm: Use an Independent consulting or testing firm with <br />qualifications and experience in contaminated soil and water sampling, analysis, <br />cleanup, and regulatory compliance, with the appropriate Washington State licensed <br />professionals supervising and conducting the work. <br />D. Perform contamination excavation and disposal work in compliance with applicable <br />statutes and regulations, including the Washington State Model Toxics Control Act, <br />chapter 70.105D RCW (“MTCA”). <br />PART 2 NOT USED <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 CONTAMINATED MATERIAL SAMPLING <br /> <br />A. Soil removed from the Port of Everett shall require sampling and testing for potential <br />contamination prior to removal and shall be tested by the contractor. Typical number of <br />samples for chemical analysis is one sample per 1,000 Cubic Yards for compliance with <br />the project SGMP. For compliance with the SGMP the following tests shall be performed. <br /> <br />Table 1.
