Addendum 4 Page 5 <br />CITY OF EVERETT 3200 Cedar Street Everett, WA 98201 (425) 257-8800 Fax (425) 257-8882 <br /> <br />Lower Norton and WMVD. Bid items for Detail A, B, C, and E should include the <br />cost for over-excavation, trench foundation up to 24”. <br /> <br />Bid Item 73 should be used for foundation stabilization for Detail D and F. Detail D <br />would represent trenching through the intersection at WMVD and 25th Street and <br />down Lower Norton Avenue to the railroad crossing. Trench foundations in this <br />area are anticipated to be suitable without over-excavation. Detail F would <br />represent the material required to rebuild the trench foundation due to the <br />removal of the existing 30” W SP. <br />Q4 - For the temporary soldier pile walls, will tie-back anchors be allowed for bracing <br />purposes or will the wall need to be designed to be cantilevered or be braced to another <br />wall on the opposite side (ie. Cofferdam style)? <br />This project does not have permission to install tie-backs within the Port <br />property, City or WSDOT right of way. The geotechnical report references <br />internally braced soldier pile wall shoring adjacent to the WSDOT retaining wall. <br />See Section 31 50 00 1.06 E. <br />Q5 - Specification 32 31 13 Chain Link Fences and Gates 1.1 B list PGSF Site <br />fenceline. This is not shown on the plans. Please clarify the limits. <br />32 31 13 Chain Link Fences and Gates 1.01 B PGSF Site Fenceline not included in <br />this contract. Fence to be installed as part of PGSF contract after this contract <br />work in the area is complete. <br />Q6 – Measurement and Payment R.2 list bid item 78 temporary soldier pile wall for <br />micropile work. Specification 31 50 00 list temporary soldier pile wall adjacent to West <br />Marine View Drive. Please clarify what work applies to this bid item. <br />Section 01 22 13 1.8 R.2 is for the temporary soldier pile wall along the WMVD <br />overpass ramp. Drilled micropiles are covered under 1.8 Q bid item #77. See item <br />4. <br />Q7 – Bid form item 84 description describes AC pavement which does not match the <br />description in the Measurement and Payment section which describes concrete panel <br />removal and replacement. The area identified on sheet C-2401 is currently AC on the <br />surface. Please clarify. <br />There are multiple bid items for restoration of pavement based on the anticipated <br />surface. There are locations anticipated to have concrete panels and brick <br />pavement below the asphalt at grade. <br />Q8 - Measurement and payment for bid item 2 states price shall constitute full <br />compensations for providing traffic control. Bid item 105 list force account for flaggers. <br />Is item 2 for materials and equipment and item 105 just for labor? How does traffic <br />control set up/removal get paid?
