Record copies of inspection reports <br />1.06 DEFINITIONS <br />A. Dry Season: May 1 – September 30. <br />B. Wet Season: October 1 – April 30. <br />C. Process Water: <br />1. Process water discharges include, but are not limited to: truck wash water, tire bath <br />wastewater, wheel wash water, equipment wash water, petroleum products, and <br />chemical wastes. <br />2. Water which, during manufacturing or processing, comes into direct contact with or <br />results from the production or use of any raw material, intermediate product, finished <br />product, byproduct, or waste product. <br />3. Water that comes in contact with uncured concrete. <br />4. Decant water from excavated spoils stockpile. <br />5. Sump pump discharge from excavation. <br />D. NTU: Nephelometric Turbidity Units <br />1.07 SITE CONDITIONS <br />A. See additional requirements in Section 31 23 00 - Excavation and Fill and Section 01 11 <br />10 - Geotechnical Information. <br />B. The Contractor shall provide BMP measures coordinated with their excavation limits, <br />support system and dewatering plan to address stormwater and ground water flows <br />within the disturbance limits. <br />1.08 DRAINAGE REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Stormwater from any area under the influence of construction activities shall not be <br />allowed to leave the site or drain to the existing stormwater drainage system without first <br />removing sediment and other debris to be consistent with the specified BMPs and to <br />meet required discharge standards. <br />B. Convey stormwater from excavations, staging areas, stockpiles, embankments, and <br />nearby upland areas to stormwater treatment systems or temporary sedimentation <br />pond(s) or tanks provided by the Contractor. <br />1. Construct temporary sedimentation pond(s) or enhanced treatment systems at <br />location(s) designated on the approved TESC Plan. Contractor shall also provide <br />necessary gravity or pumped conveyance systems to deliver the runoff to said <br />facilities. <br />2. When disturbed by construction activities, runoff shall be collected and re-routed to <br />treatment facilities. <br />C. Stormwater runoff from the site will be allowed to drain into the existing storm drain <br />system, provided catch basin inserts, silt fences, or other approved measures are in <br />place. Straw bales, tubes or similar measures that allow unfiltered overflow or bypassing
