<br />PGSF WMVD Storm and Combined Sewer - Construction Package 2 Erosion and Sedimentation Control <br />Project No. 180162 31 25 00 - 19 <br /> <br />2. Sweep roads, streets and paved areas as needed, at least once per day. Sweep all <br />paved areas subject to construction traffic within the Project Limits and connecting <br />streets, preferably during non-peak use hours of the roadway. More frequent cleaning <br />may be required, as directed by the Owner’s Representative. <br />3. Street cleaning shall not be used as a substitute for implementing other BMPs which <br />prevent erosion or contain sediments on the site. <br />4. Sweeping requirements shall include the Port property, Norton Terminal area. <br />L. Erosion Control Matting and Blankets <br />1. Repair and staple any areas of the net or blanket that are damaged or not in close <br />contact with the ground. <br />2. Fix and repair eroded areas. <br />M. Plastic Sheeting <br />1. Inspect installed sheeting for erosion, undermining, and anchorage failure. <br />2. Repair any failures immediately. <br />3. Replace torn sheets and repair open seams. <br />4. Remove all plastic sheeting when no longer needed. <br />N. Temporary Silt Fence <br />1. Remove sediment from behind silt fences when deposits are 6 inches deep or <br />greater. <br />2. Remove filter fabric where deteriorated. <br />3. Replace sections of filter fabric that have been torn or ripped. <br />O. Storm Drain Inlet Protection <br />1. Remove sediment and replace inserts when no longer providing filtration and <br />through-flow according to manufacturer’s recommendations. <br />P. Check Dams <br />1. Remove accumulated sediments when the accumulated sediment depth reaches 6 <br />inches or ¾ of the height of the check dam, whichever is first. <br />2. Prevent sediments from being flushed to the downstream system during cleaning. <br />Q. Catch Basin Closure and Sump Pump System <br />1. Operate and maintain pipe plug to prevent leakage. <br />2. Replace plug if leaks cannot be stopped. <br />3. Operate and maintain automated sump pump to ensure site water in closed catch <br />basins is discharged to the site water treatment system at all times <br />3.06 COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION <br />A. TESC BMPs <br />1. Shall be kept operational until the Site has undergone final stabilization (e.g., soils <br />have been stabilized by permanent measures, landscaping is installed, etc.) and <br />through Substantial Completion of the Work. <br />2. Remove within 30 days after the Site has undergone final stabilization.
