2026 Pavement Maintenance Overlay Special Provisions <br />PW# 3860 SP - 87 March 5, 2026 <br />1 CNH 8-22 and 8-23 for HMA Overlay.rtf <br />2 8-22 PAVEMENT MARKING <br />3 <br />4 8-22.2 Materials <br />5 <br />6 Section 8-22.2 is supplemented with the following: <br />7 <br />8 (******) <br />9 All plastic marking shall be Type D, with the exception of bicycle symbols, which shall be <br />10 Type B. <br />11 <br />12 8-22.3 Construction Requirements <br />13 <br />14 Section 8-22.3 is supplemented with the following: <br />15 <br />16 (******) <br />17 Pavement markings shall be installed in accordance with Section 8-22.3 of the Standard <br />18 Specifications with the following modifications: <br />19 <br />20 1) All Stop Line shall be 24 wide Type D extruded plastic flat line. Spray Type D is <br />21 not allowed. <br />22 2) All Crosswalk Line shall be solid white lines, 24 wide, installed in accordance with <br />23 City of Everett Standard Drawing No. 721 and shall be Type D extruded plastic flat <br />24 line. Spray Type D is not allowed. <br />25 3) All two-way left turn yellow lines and lane lines dividing two opposing directions of <br />26 travel shall be Type D plastic flat line. <br />27 4) Profiled plastic Type D material, where called for in the Appendices to the Special <br />28 Provisions, shall be used for lane line dividing traffic in the same direction of travel <br />29 including plastic skip white lane line, and solid white edge line, or other lines staked <br />30 by the Engineer. <br />31 5) All white parking lines shall be Type D plastic flat line. <br />32 6) All wide line and dotted extension line shall be Type D plastic flat line. <br />33 7) Access parking space symbols, arrows, letters, and speed hump symbols shall be <br />34 Type D extruded plastic flat line.
