2026 Pavement Maintenance Overlay Special Provisions <br />PW# 3860 SP - 81 March 5, 2026 <br />1 <br />2 1. Sweepers following the grinding work. <br />3 2. Debris left in the road or on the side of the road from Planing Bituminous Pavement. <br />4 <br />5 The Contractor shall plan the operation to minimize the need for street cleaning. <br />6 <br />7 8-01.4(2) Measurement <br />8 <br />9 Section 8-01.4(2) of the standard specifications is supplemented with the following: <br />10 <br />11 Street cleaning will be measured by the hour for the actual time consumed in sweeping, <br />12 pavement cleaning, and debris removal. No allowance will be made for time consumed in <br />13 making repairs to the equipment or for moving the equipment to or from the site on which <br />14 the street cleaning is ordered. No separate payment will be made for water required for <br />15 the normal operation of the pickup sweepers. <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 CNH 8-09.DOCX <br />19 8-09 RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS <br />20 (******) <br />21 <br />22 8-09.1 Description <br />23 <br />24 Section 8-09.1 is supplemented with the following: <br />25 <br />26 At locations called for in the Appendices to the Special Provisions, the Work shall consist <br />27 of installing white and yellow pavement markers between skip lines or on centerline at 40 <br />28 centers. Raised pavement markers shall meet the requirements of Section 8-09 and City <br />29 of Everett Standard Drawing 720. <br />30 <br />31 At locations staked by the engineer, the Work shall consist of installing blue pavement <br />32 markers at each fire hydrant adjacent to the nearest yellow paint line, on the side of the <br />33 line that the hydrant is closest. Where multiple yellow lines exist, such as two way left turn <br />34 lane lines or painted islands, only one marker will be installed adjacent to the nearest <br />35 yellow paint line. <br />36 <br />37 8-09.2 Materials <br />38 <br />39 Section 8-09.2 is supplemented with the following: <br />40 <br />41 White and yellow Raised Pavement Marker (RPM) Type 2 shall be selected from approved <br />42 materials listed in the WSDOT Qualified Products List. <br />43 <br />44 Blue Raised Pavement Marker (RPM) Type 2 shall be bi-directional blue-blue with <br />45 abrasion resistant lens or coating and shall be one of the following: <br />46 1. 3M Series 290 Model 295-2B <br />47 2.
