<br /> <br /> <br />City of Everett <br />RFP #2026-001 for Third Party Claims Administrator (TPA) Services <br /> <br />Below is a list of solutions and tools we have successfully implemented to improve claims management <br />processes and meet the diverse needs of our clients: <br />Innovative technology has changed the way we do business at all levels. The following are examples of <br />the value-added tools Intercare has implemented to streamline processes, increase access to information, <br />and increase our cost containment opportunities. <br />1st Party Subrogation Recovery Services (See Third Party Subrogation Services below) <br />Intercare provides subrogation recovery services to many of our clients. In 2013, George Hills created a <br />dedicated Subrogation Recovery Unit to handle recovery opportunities for our clients who have requested <br />or contracted with us for subrogation recovery services. When George Hills and Intercare blended our <br />services, that Subrogation Recovery Unit was combined with Intercare’s offerings to bring the City the <br />best of the best in financial recovery for your agency. <br /> <br />Our standard subrogation fee is 30% of the amount collected; however, Intercare has been successful <br />more than 80% of the time collecting our fees, thus equating to recovery essentially free of charge. The <br />minimum amount to be paid to Intercare will be $250 per claim. <br />Generally, no recovery shall be agreed to involving payment plans if the recovery is less than $5,000 <br />and/or greater than a one-year term. Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. If a recovery is <br />agreed to above this amount, the subrogation fee shall be 45%.
