City of Everett Point Industrial Center (EPIC) Bridge Project – Phase 2 Full Design <br /> <br /> Page 35 of 43 <br /> <br />WORK ELEMENT 11 STRUCTURAL DESIGN <br />This work element is performed by CONSULTANT to provide structural design services. In this <br />phase the approved TS&L phase bridge structure will be advanced to full design level and <br />preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) for construction purposes. <br />All structural design shall be per current WSDOT, AASHTO LRFD standards and City of <br />Everett standards. WSDOT design standards shall control over AASHTO. <br />Based on the AGENCY’s chosen alternative from the TS&L phase, the design team will prepare <br />30%, 60%, 90%, and 100% PS&E packages. Specification Manual will be provided at the 60%, <br />90%, and 100% PS&E packages. <br />11.1 30% P&E - This task encompasses all the activities associated with the preparation of <br />the 30% Plans and Engineer’s opinion of construction cost Estimate (P&E) documents. <br />Constructability Review and QA/QC activities are an inherent part of this task. <br />Deliverables: <br /> PDF 11”x17” (half size) copy of Plans. <br />PDF copy of the quantity Estimates and opinion of cost Estimate. <br />11.2 60% PS&E - This work element item encompasses all the activities associated with the <br />preparation of the 60% Plans and engineer’s opinion of construction cost Estimate (P&E) <br />documents. All Agency comments from the 30% design will be responded to and <br />incorporated. Constructability Review and QA/QC activities are an inherent part of this <br />element. <br />Deliverables: <br /> PDF 11”x17” (half size) copy of Plans. <br /> PDF copy of the quantity Estimates and opinion of construction cost. <br /> PDF copy of the preliminary Specifications. <br />11.3 90% PS&E - This task encompasses all the activities associated with the preparation of <br />the 90% Plans, Special Provisions and engineer’s opinion of construction cost Estimate <br />(PS&E).
