The WZCZ applies only to temporary roadside objects introduced by <br /> 22 the Contractor's operations and does not apply to preexisting conditions or <br /> 23 permanent Work. Those work operations that are actively in progress shall be <br /> 24 in accordance with adopted and approved Traffic Control Plans, and other <br /> 25 contract requirements. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 During nonworking hours equipment or materials shall not be within the WZCZ <br /> 28 unless they are protected by permanent guardrail or temporary concrete <br /> 29 barrier. The use of temporary concrete barrier shall be permitted only if the <br /> 30 Engineer approves the installation and location. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 During actual hours of work, unless protected as described above, only <br /> 33 materials absolutely necessary to construction shall be within the WZCZ and <br /> 34 only construction vehicles absolutely necessary to construction shall be <br /> 35 allowed within the WZCZ or allowed to stop or park on the shoulder of the <br /> 36 roadway. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 The Contractor's nonessential vehicles and employees private vehicles shall <br /> 39 not be permitted to park within the WZCZ at any time unless protected as <br /> 40 described above. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Deviation from the above requirements shall not occur unless the Contractor <br /> 43 has requested the deviation in writing and the Engineer has provided written <br /> 44 approval. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 Minimum WZCZ distances are measured from the edge of traveled way and <br /> 47 will be determined as follows: <br /> 48 <br /> HAWTHORNE ELEMENTARY <br /> SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL <br /> FED AID#SRTS-0420(021);COE#3540 SP-55 March 16,2016 <br />
