Regardless of which format used, the schedule shall identify <br /> 22 the critical path. The Contractor shall not commence with the work until the Notice to Proceed <br /> 36 has been given by the Engineer. The Contractor shall commence construction activities <br /> 37 on the project site within ten days of the Notice to Proceed Date, unless otherwise <br /> 38 approved in writing. The Contractor shall diligently pursue the work to the physical <br /> 39 completion date within the time specified in the contract. Voluntary shutdown or slowing <br /> 40 of operations by the Contractor shall not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility to <br /> 41 complete the work within the time(s) specified in the contract. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 When shown in the Plans, the first order of work shall be the installation of high visibility <br /> 44 fencing to delineate all areas for protection or restoration, as described in the Contract. <br /> 45 Installation of high visibility fencing adjacent to the roadway shall occur after the <br /> 46 placement of all necessary signs and traffic control devices in accordance with 1-10.1(2). <br /> 47 Upon construction of the fencing, the Contractor shall request the Engineer to inspect <br /> 48 the fence.
