CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS 1 BID ITEM A-3 & B-3: MOBILIZATION , Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum The lump sum bid for mobilization shall constitute full compensation for all preconstruction costs U of preparatory work and operations performed by the Contractor, including, but not limited to, those necessary for the movement of his personnel, equipment, supplies and incidentals to the project site; for the establishment of offices, buildings and other facilities necessary for work on this project; for premiums on bonds and insurance for the project, and for work and operations which must be performed or costs incurred before beginning production work on the various items on the project site. Mobilization also includes, but is not limited to: posting construction identification signs, securing permits, establishing safety and security measures, submitting the project schedule, providing product/materials submittals, and providing assistance to business/institution owners and managers and/or affected residents to minimize and mitigate impacts during construction (including but not limited to; mail and package delivery, garbage and recycling pickup, freight delivery, handicap parking and access, customer/patient access and parking etc). Mobilization costs for all subcontracted work shall be considered to be included. This lump sum bid item includes all costs for utility coordination as noted in the plans and specifications. Items which are not included in this item include, but are not limited to: I (a) Any portion of the work covered by a specific bid item or incidental work which is to be included in a bid item or items. (b) Profit, interest on borrowed money, overhead or management costs. Partial payments will be made for the lump sum contract price for "Mobilization" as follows: When 5% of the total original contract amount is earned from other bid items, 50% of the amount bid for mobilization, or 5% of the total original contract amount, whichever is the least, will be paid. When 10% of the total original contract amount is earned from other bid items. 100% of the I amount bid for mobilization, or 10% of the total contract amount, whichever is the least, will be paid. Upon completion of all work on the project, payment of any amount bid for mobilization in excess of 10% of the total original contract amount will be paid. BID ITEM A-4 & B-4: TRAFFIC CONTROL LABOR I Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Hour This unit price bid item includes full compensation for traffic control labor as identified in Sectionl-10.3(4) of the Special Provisions. The Contractor shall furnish all personnel for flagging to control traffic, including pedestrians, during construction operations in accordance with Section 1-10 of the Standard Specifications, the drawings, approved traffic control plans, as directed by the City and these Special Provisions. Measurement for traffic control labor shall be the total number of hours performed by all i personnel, verified and documented by the City's Inspector.
