CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> 111 BID ITEM A-5 & B-5: MAINTENANCE AND PROTECTION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL <br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum <br /> This lump sum bid item includes full compensation for maintenance and protection of traffic <br /> control measure materials, tools, and equipment necessary and incidental in accordance with <br /> Section 1-10.3(2) of the Special Provisions, including but not limited to, signs, barricades, <br /> cones, flashers, reader boards, and temporary pavement markings. Also included is any cost <br /> associated with preparation and distribution of public notices involving parking, street access or <br /> traffic issues. A certified Traffic Control Supervisor will be required on site at all times, assume <br /> one full-time person. <br /> Measurement for maintenance and protection of traffic control shall be the ratio of the number of <br /> working days completed to the total number of working days authorized in the Contract. <br /> BID ITEM A-6 & B-6: TEMPORARY SEDIMENTATION AND EROSION CONTROL <br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum <br /> The lump sum bid item for Temporary Erosion and Sedimentation Control, shall be full <br /> compensation for materials, work, labor and equipment necessary to provide erosion control, <br /> complete and in place throughout the term of the Contract. Also included are all costs for <br /> temporary and permanent erosion control measures needed to prevent silt from entering storm <br /> ' drains, trenches or water courses or surrounding property as required by permits or as <br /> necessitated by climate, weather conditions and the Contractor's activities. <br /> Included in the lump sum price for this bid item are all costs for additional temporary erosion <br /> control measures which may be required to support the Contractor's construction methods, <br /> including but not limited to, settling and filtering of water from dewatering operations, catch <br /> basin inserts, diversion and control of surface runoff into or out of trenches, straw mulch, <br /> protection of delivered or stockpiled backfill materials, protection of unsuitable or surplus <br /> materials and control, care and cleanup of petroleum products or other construction byproducts. <br /> Included in the lump sum price for this bid item are all costs for temporary erosion control <br /> measures that may be required at all staging areas, material and equipment storage yards and <br /> other sites occupied or used by the Contractor. <br /> Measurement for temporary sedimentation and erosion control shall be the ratio of the number <br /> of working days completed to the total number of working days authorized in the Contract. <br /> BID ITEM A-7 & B-7: STREET CLEANING AND SWEEPING <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Hour <br /> The unit price per hour bid for Street Cleaning and Sweeping shall be full compensation for all <br /> labor, tools, incidentals, and equipment necessary to provide the street sweeping, cleaning, and <br /> dust control. <br /> No separate payment will be made for water required for dust control and the normal operation <br /> of the pickup sweepers. No allowance will be made for time consumed in making repairs to the <br /> equipment or for moving the equipment to or from the site on which the street cleaning is <br /> ordered. <br /> I Measurement for street sweeping and cleaning and debris removal shall be the number of hours <br /> that street sweeping equipment and personnel are actively engaged in street sweeping, <br /> SEWER SYSTEM REPLACEMENT AND CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTS SEWER "M" PHASE II <br /> ' WO No.—UP3470-10 Division D—BID ITEM DESCRIPTIONS April 2016 <br /> SP -33 <br />
