BID ITEM A-13: CONSTRUCTION GEOTEXTILE I Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Square Yard The unit price per square yard for Construction Geotextile shall be full compensation for all 1 labor, material, incidentals, tools, and equipment necessary to furnish and place fabric where directed by the engineer for use beneath roadway sub-base or other areas of the project. Geotextile type shall be woven meeting the requirements of ASTM D4632 in accordance with Section 2-12 of Standard Specifications. Measurement will be by the square yard for the ground surface area actually covered. I BID ITEM A-14: FOUNDATION MATERIAL Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Ton The unit price bid per ton for foundation material, Class A, B, or as approved by the Engineer, shall constitute full compensation for all labor, materials and equipment required to furnish, place, and compact foundation material as specified in the Contract Documents. The unit price of this bid item includes all costs for dewatering and over-excavation, removal, , and disposal of unsuitable subgrade material below the pipe zone or roadway subgrade. Measurement for foundation material shall be by the ton, recorded on certified weight tickets per Section 1-09.1 for Foundation Material placed within the limits of dimensions defined in the Contract Documents, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. Payment for foundation material, Class A, B, or as approved by the Engineer will be by the ton. BID ITEM A-15 & B-13: ROADWAY ASPHALT TREATED BASE (ATB) Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Ton Measurement for ATB shall be recorded on certified weight tickets in accordance with Section 1- 09.2 Weighing Equipment. This measurement is for ATB placed within the limits of dimensions defined in the Contract Documents, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. No deduction will be made for the weight of asphalt binder, mineral filler, or other component of the mixture. I The unit price for this bid item shall be full compensation for all labor, materials, equipment and related work necessary to furnish, place, compact, roll, and perform density tests on multiple lifts of ATB. All costs for "Anti Stripping Additive" and "Compaction Adjustment" shall be included in the unit contract price per ton of the ATB. Also to be included in this bid item shall be the cost of grader work, or any other equipment I required to remove existing soils to attain proper elevations and compaction of native subgrade material. Adjusting existing valve boxes, manhole covers, catch basin grates, and other features to match finish subgrade is incidental to this bid item.
