CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS BID ITEM A-20 & B-18: TEMPORARY PAVEMENT PATCH Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Ton The unit price per ton for temporary pavement patch using either cold mix asphalt (MC250) or HMA CL '/z" PG 64-22 shall be full compensation for all labor, material, tools, and equipment, including all incidental work necessary to satisfactorily complete the work as defined in the Contract Documents, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. No deduction will be made for the weight of asphalt binder, blending sand, mineral filler, or other compone3nt of the mixture. ' The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, hauling, compaction, furnishing and placing polyethylene film or building paper, materials and equipment to furnish, place, compact, and roll to conform to adjacent surfaces. Use of tack coat CSS-1 is considered incidental to this bid item. The Contractor will be responsible for providing temporary pavement patch on all streets that currently have asphalt or cement concrete paving. Also specifically included in the unit price for this bid item are costs to maintain the temporary patch in such a manner to prevent traffic hazards until the permanent pavement has been installed. Measurement for temporary pavement patch will be by the ton as recorded on certified weight tickets per Section 1-09.1 and as approved by the Inspector BID ITEM A-21 & B-19: HOT MIX ASPHALT (HMA) CLASS B / HMA ' " PG 64-22 HMA CL 1/2" PG 64-22 shall be used in place of Asphalt Class B Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Ton The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, hauling, materials and equipment to furnish, place, compact, roll and perform density tests on multiple lifts of HMA— CL 1/2" PG 64- 22. Adjusting existing valve boxes, manhole covers, catch basin grates, and other features to match finish pavement grade is incidental to this bid item. All costs for "Anti Stripping Additive" and "Compaction Adjustment" shall be included in the unit contract price per ton of the HMA. Also included in the unit price for this bid item, with no direct compensation made, is adjusting existing features including but not limited to valve boxes, manhole covers, catch basin grates, and other features to match finish pavement grade. Measurement for HMA, CL 1/2" PG 64-22 shall be by the ton, recorded on certified weight tickets in accordance with 1-09.2 and as approved by the Engineer. No deduction will be made for the weight of asphalt binder, blending sand, mineral filler, or other component of the mixture. Furnishing and applying tack coat, prime coat, joint seal and crack sealing asphalt is to be included in this bid item.
