The <br /> 13 Contractor shall submit the plan to the Owner's Representative no later than the date of the <br /> 14 preconstruction conference. No on-site construction activities may commence until the Owner's <br /> 15 Representative accepts a Tree Removal Plan for the project. The Tree Removal Plan shall <br /> 16 describe the schedule, process, and procedures for the removal of each individual tree to be <br /> 17 removed as shown on the Plans. The Tree Removal Plan shall identify and demonstrate how <br /> 18 the Contractor will complete the work in accordance with the ANSI requirements referenced in <br /> 19 this section. The Plan shall specifically identify equipment, devices, cranes, or special rigging <br /> 20 that will be used. The Plan shall identify project-specific work procedures that the Contractor <br /> 21 will follow to protect the safety of climbers, non-involved workers, public, staff, and property. <br /> 22 The plan shall include the identification of drop zones, the location of planned retreat/escape <br /> 23 paths, on-site log storage areas, and the Contractor's plans for loading and disposing of logs <br /> ' 24 and associated debris. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Tree Removal <br /> 27 Tree removal work shall be performed under the direction of a qualified arborist and shall be <br /> 28 conducted by experienced climbers and equipment operators. Tree removal work shall conform <br /> 29 to ANSI Z133.1 — Safety Requirements for Arboricultural Operations. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Pruning <br /> 32 If the Contractor determines that it is necP8sary to prune trees or Chrl Ills to minimize damage to <br /> 33 remaining vegetation or safely conduct tree removal, pruning work shall conform to ANSI A300 <br /> 34 (Part 1) — Pruning. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Tree Disposal <br /> 37 Tree disposal shall be in accordance with 2-01.2. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Disposal of Usable Material and Debris <br /> 41 <br /> 42 The second paragraph of Section 2-01.2 is deleted and replaced with the following: <br /> 43 <br /> 44 (******) <br /> 45 Contractor shall dispose of all debris by one or more of the disposal methods described <br /> 46 below.
