Where a Shop Drawing is required by the I 34 Specifications, any related work performed prior to completion of the Engineer's review 35 of the pertinent submission will be the sole expense and responsibility of the Contractor. 36 37 1-05.3A Submittals and Requests for Information 38 39 A new section 1-05.3A Submittals and Requests for Information is added as follows: I 40 41 1-05.3A(1) Submittals 42 Where required by the Contract Documents, the Contractor shall submit information I 43 which will enable the Owner's Representative to advise the Owner whether the 44 Contractor's proposed materials, Equipment or methods of work are in general 45 conformance to the design concept and in compliance with the drawings and I 46 Specifications, such as catalog cuts and shop, working or detail drawings. Approval or 47 acceptance of a submittal does not relieve Contractor from complying with contract 48 requirements. The Owner's approval of a submittal did not constitute a waiver of the 49 contract requirements. The Owner will not be obligated to accept or pay for work I50 performed by the Contractor which may be affected by materials, Equipment, or 51 methods of work not submitted in a timely manner so that final review can be 52 accomplished before the affected work is complete.
