I <br /> 1 the vicinity of the work and to reasonably protect persons and property. No roads or <br /> 2 street shall be closed to the public except with the permission of the Owner's <br /> 3 Representative and the proper governmental authority. Fire hydrants on or adjacent to <br /> 4 the work shall be accessible to fire fighting Equipment. Temporary provisions shall be <br /> 5 made by the Contractor for the use of sidewalks, private and public driveways and <br /> 6 proper functioning of gutters, sewer inlets, drainage ditches and culverts, irrigation <br /> 7 ditches and natural water courses. <br /> 8 i 9 1-05.19 Owner-Contractor Coordination <br /> 10 <br /> 11 1-05.19(1) Suggestions to Contractor111 <br /> 12 Nothing in these Contract Documents requires the Owner's Representative to provide <br /> 13 the Contractor with direction or advice on how to do the work, construction practices, or <br /> 14 means and methods. If the Owner's Representative approves, suggests or recommends <br /> 15 any construction practice, means, method or manner for doing the work or producing <br /> 16 materials, the approval or recommendation shall not: (A) guarantee that following the <br /> 17 method or manner will result in compliance with the Contract Documents; (B) relieve the <br /> 18 Contractor of any risks or obligations under the Contract Documents; or (C) create any 111 <br /> 19 liability by the Owner to the Contractor. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Suggestions as to the plans or methods of accomplishing the work or Contract <br /> 22 requirements by the Owner or the Owner's Representative to the Contractor but not <br /> 23 specified or required, if adopted or followed by the Contractor in whole or in part, shall be <br /> 24 used at the risk and responsibility of the Contractor. The Owner and the Owner's <br /> 25 Representative assume no responsibility therefore and in no way will be held liable for <br /> 26 any defects in the work which may result from or be caused by use of such plan or <br /> 27 method or work. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 1-05.19(2) Meetings with Owner <br /> 30 <br /> 31 The Contractor shall have its duly authorized representative attend periodic informational <br /> 32 meetings with the Owner's Representative and City staff, as reasonably required by the <br /> 33 Owner. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Contractor, Owner, and Owner's Representative shall meet as often as determined by <br /> 36 the Owner's Representative, but no less often than once each month. The purpose of <br /> 37 the meeting is to review Project status in relation to the construction schedule; review <br /> 38 value of work completed during the previous month; and, if applicable, review <br /> 39 Contractor's plans to return Project status to that required by the schedule. If requested <br /> 40 by the Owner or Owner's Representative, the Contractor shall submit a written progress I <br /> 41 report within five (5) days following this meeting, comprising: <br /> 42 1. The current construction schedule indicating percent complete, actual <br /> 43 completion or start dates since the previous review, the estimated remaining <br /> 44 duration for each activity in progress, Schedule of Values update, and narrative 111 <br /> 45 summary. <br /> 46 2. Reasons any activities are behind schedule and the corrective steps being <br /> 11 <br /> 47 taken. <br /> 48 <br /> 49 1-05.19(3) Cooperation with Others <br /> 50 <br /> 51 The Contractor agrees to permit entry to the site of the work by the Owner, its employees or other <br /> 52 contractors performing work on behalf of the Owner.
