This plan shall include the ability of the Contractor to alert off- <br /> duty personnel. <br /> The Contractor shall participate in training programs and exercises designed to <br /> upgrade, evaluate, and maintain readiness of the City's EMS system's disaster and <br /> multi-casualty response system. <br /> 8.3 Public Information and Education <br /> The Contractor shall participate in Everett and regional EMS system public education <br /> and information programs including press relations, explanations regarding rates, <br /> regulations and system operations, increasing public awareness and knowledge of the <br /> EMS system, injury/mortality prevention/reduction, and general health and safety <br /> promotion. <br /> 8.4 Integration of Services <br /> Contractor shall integrate its services with the services of other EMS System <br /> participants including first responder agencies, public safety agencies, hospitals, other <br /> health professionals, and neighboring ambulance provider agencies. In addition to the <br /> other provisions set forth in this RFP, Contractor shall be an active participant in the <br /> Regional EMS System. <br /> 8.5 Mutual Aid Agreements <br /> The Contractor may enter into and use mutual aid agreements with other private <br /> ambulance providers to augment the Contractor's services during peak load periods <br /> (e.g. sporting events) or during major emergency and disaster responses. Prior to <br /> execution of such mutual aid agreements, the Contractor shall submit the agreement to <br /> EFD for review and approval. <br /> 9.0 Local Administrative Office <br /> The Contractor shall maintain an administrative office within twenty miles of EFD <br /> Headquarters, 2930 Wetmore Ave, Everett, WA 98201. This office will be established <br /> within 60 days after the Effective Date. <br /> 10.0 Inspections <br /> At any time during normal business hours, and as often as may reasonably be deemed <br /> necessary, the City representatives and the EMS Medical Director(s), may observe the <br /> Contractor's operations. Additionally, the Contractor shall make available for their <br /> examination and audit, all contracts, invoices, materials, payrolls, inventory records, <br /> records of personnel (with the exception of confidential personnel records), daily logs, <br /> conditions of employment, all operational and procedure policy manuals, excerpts or <br /> transcripts from such records, all relevant fiscal records and other data related to all <br /> matters covered by this contract. <br /> 13 of 34 <br />
