I <br /> POLICE HQ—MASONRY CLEANING AND REPAIR APRIL 15, 2016 <br /> I <br /> 2. access to the Site, <br /> 3. environmental factors, <br /> 4. all other data,matters and things requisite to the fulfillment of the Work, <br /> 5. conditions ordinarily to be encountered and generally recognized as inherent in the Work, <br /> 6. available services and utilities at and in the vicinity of the Site of the Work, and i <br /> 7. all applicable federal, state and local statutes, ordinances, and regulations dealing with <br /> building,public health and safety, or with the prevention of environmental pollution and <br /> the preservation of public natural resources, and environmental assessments or impact <br /> statements which have been prepared relating to the Work. <br /> C. Bidder acknowledges that he/she has not relied on representation or warranty of the City not <br /> 111 <br /> expressly included in the Contract Documents. <br /> D. The information provided by the City is not intended to be a substitute for, or a supplement <br /> to, the independent verification by the Bidder to the extent such independent investigation of <br /> the Drawings and Specifications or Site conditions is deemed necessary or desirable by the <br /> Bidder. Bidder acknowledges that they have not relied upon City or Architect or Engineer <br /> furnished information regarding site conditions in preparing and submitting a Bid. <br /> 1.5 Interpretation of Contract Documents <br /> Should a Bidder find what is believed to be discrepancies in or omissions from the Drawings or <br /> Specifications, or should the Bidder be in doubt as to their meaning, Bidder may submit to the <br /> City a written request for an interpretation thereof. The Bidder submitting the request will be <br /> responsible for its prompt delivery. Any interpretation of the documents, if made, will be made <br /> only by addendum duly issued. All requests for interpretations must be in writing and <br /> received by the City no later than 7 calendar days prior to the bid opening date. All <br /> questions regarding the Contract Documents shall be referred to the City at the address provided <br /> in the Contract Documents. <br /> 1.6 Preparation of Bids I <br /> A. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided by the City and found in the Contract <br /> Documents. All blank spaces in the Bid form shall be legibly filled in using a non-erasable <br /> medium. In addition to writing in the bid amount in numbers, be sure to write out the bid <br /> amount in words in the space provided in the Bid form. Where conflict occurs, the written or <br /> typed words shall prevail. In the event that the product of a unit price and an estimated <br /> quantity does not equal the extended amount quoted, the unit price shall govern, and the <br /> correct product of the unit price and the estimated quantity shall be deemed to be the amount <br /> bid. If the sum of two or more items in a bidding schedule does not equal the total amounts <br /> quoted,the individual item amounts shall govern and the correct total shall be deemed to be <br /> the amount bid. Do not qualify Bids, since this will automatically be cause for rejection of <br /> the Bid. <br /> B. Bid prices shall include everything necessary for the completion of the Work including,but <br /> not limited to,providing the materials, equipment, tools,plant and other facilities, and the <br /> management, superintendence, labor, and all necessary testing services. <br /> C. Bidders are warned against making erasures or alterations of any kind to the Bid form, and <br /> bids that contain omissions, erasures, or irregularities of any kind may be rejected.
