The purpose of the public park zone is to provide a zoning classification for recreational and <br /> open space uses and other compatible public uses on current and future city-owned land. <br /> IS HEREBY DELETED. <br /> SECTION 14: Ordinance 1671-89, as amended, (EMC19.33A.030 Public Park Zone), which <br /> reads in part <br /> Permitted Uses. <br /> Permitted public park development uses include any park and recreational activity, including <br /> active and passive outdoor recreational activities, trails, open space, cultural activities, park <br /> buildings and structures, concessionaires, general park operations and maintenance activities, <br /> ranger's or caretaker's quarters, other compatible public uses and structures, and uses <br /> customarily incidental thereto, and are permitted in accordance with the provisions of EMC Title <br /> 15, Local Project Review Procedures. <br /> BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Permitted Uses. <br /> A. Public_park development uses include any park and recreational activity, including active and <br /> passive outdoor recreational activities, trails, open space, cultural activities, park buildings and <br /> structures, concessionaires, general park operations and maintenance activities, ranger's or <br /> caretaker's quarters, other compatible public uses and structures, and uses customarily incidental <br /> thereto, and are permitted in accordance with the provisions of EMC Title 15, Local Project <br /> Review Procedures. <br /> B. Transportation facilities of statewide significance through a Review Process II land use <br /> decision, except that a Review Process I land use decision is required for projects that are <br /> categorically exempt under SEPA and a Review Process III land use decision is required for <br /> projects in shoreline jurisdiction with a project area greater than one acre. <br /> SECTION 15: Ordinance No. 1671-89, as amended, is hereby amended by the addition of the <br /> following chapter, Chapter 33.E, establishing an "Aquatic" zone which shall read as follows: <br /> 33.E.010. Aquatic Zone—Map Amended. Areas zoned "aquatic" shall be designated on <br /> the Zoning Map with the symbol "AQ". <br /> 33.E. 020 Permitted Uses and Review Processes. For aquatic areas subject to the shoreline <br /> master program, permitted uses shall be consistent with EMC 19.33D, the shoreline master <br /> program regulations. For aquatic areas which are not subject to the shoreline master program, <br /> permitted uses must be accessory to adjacent upland land uses, and must be consistent with EMC <br /> 19.37 Environmentally Sensitive Areas. Permitted uses shall include transportation facilities of <br /> statewide significance through review process II, except that a Review Process III land use <br /> decision is required for projects in shoreline jurisdiction with a project area greater than an acre. <br /> Review processes shall be consistent with EMC 15 Local Project Review Procedures. <br /> 33.E.030 Development Standards. <br />
