June 4, 2014 <br /> Considerable discussion ensued. <br /> Council Member Bader thanked the citizens for their comments and input <br /> related to the budget. He reported on his attendance at the Puget Sound <br /> Regional Council's annual general assembly where the city of Everett was <br /> awarded a VISION 20/40 award for their "Infill Measures". <br /> Council Member Roberts stated that he also attended the Puget Sound <br /> Regional Council meeting on behalf of the Mayor. He requested an <br /> update on the Open Public Meetings Act. <br /> CAA/CFO Bryant noted that Assistant City Attorney Ramsey Ramerman <br /> will be scheduling training for the Mayor and council members in the near <br /> future. <br /> Council Member Anderson stated that, preparatory to the briefings tonight, <br /> he attended all of the SDAT presentations, studied the options that have <br /> been presented, and attended both of the public outreach meetings and <br /> reviewed the outcomes of those meetings. He remarked that that <br /> information and additional information requested from staff has given him <br /> what he needs to make informed decisions on the proposed ordinances. <br /> He thanked Paul Kaftanski and the SDAT group for their work on a very <br /> difficult job. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> The City Attorney had no comments. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Vince Mandarano, Everett, suggested that the repark ordinance be <br /> relaxed for disabled individuals with placards. <br /> Kathy Christensen, Everett, thanked the city council for holding the public <br /> meetings regarding the budget and thanked the Mayor for his <br /> recommendation to keep the Forest Park Swim Center and Walter E.
