construction work areas manually or by using mechanical sweepers, as needed, to minimize
tracking of sediments on vehicle tires away from the site and to minimize wash off of sediments
from adjacent streets in runoff.
A Chitosan enhanced sand filtration system will be installed and used for the duration of the
project. This stormwater treatment plan has been prepared by Clear Water Compliance and
approved by the Washington State Department of Ecology. A primary objective of the CESF
system is to treat the water that has been contaminated in accordance with the Administrative
Order issued by the Washington State Department of Ecology. The location of the system is
subject to change. Currently it is scheduled to be located at the south end of the project, or at
the adjacent parking lot. If the system moves the SWPPP and the temporary erosion and
sedimentation control (TESC) plan will be updated.
Check dams will be placed around the perimeter of the site in the existing ditches to slow down
any runoff from the parking lot and adjacent streets. The interceptor dike and swale will be
constructed around the perimeter of the spoil pile to contain water and directed it to the
temporary sediment pond and baker tanks.
Installation Schedules:
The silt fence will be installed at the very beginning of the project to protect the jurisdictional
ditch and pond at the south west corner of the site. The straw wattle and check dams will be
installed at the beginning of the project. The chemical treatment system will be installed at the
beginning of the project.
Inspection and Maintenance plan:
The BMPs, such as, silt fence and check dams, will be inspected, maintained, and repaired as
needed to make sure it is working properly and has not been damaged. The BMPs will be
checked within 24 hours of a rain event.
Responsible Staff:
Steve Roetemeyer with MiclMountain Contractors will be the onsite CESCL to maintain.
1 14
