1 <br /> I <br /> 1 All junction boxes and vaults installed in sidewalk areas shall have non-skid <br /> 2 covers. <br /> I <br /> 3 <br /> 4 CN S 4203(1'0) SERVViC RT <br /> 5 Service, Transformer, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) 1 <br /> 6 Cabinets <br /> 7 Section 8-20.3(10) is supplemented with the following: <br /> 8 1 9 A) Risers on PUD Poles or City owned poles: If the PUD does not <br /> 10 install a pedestal at the base of the service pole, the Contractor shall <br /> 11 be responsible to install conduit risers on PUD or City owned poles 1 <br /> 12 as necessary for electrical service connections. Conduit risers shall <br /> 13 be constructed in accordance with Everett Standard Plan No. 820. <br /> 14 The bottom 10' of the riser shall be galvanized steel or Schedule 80 <br /> 15 PVC and the remaining portion shall be Schedule 40 PVC orIl <br /> 16 Schedule 80 PVC. The riser shall be installed on a standoff with 4" <br /> 17 minimum clearance between the conduit and the pole. A weather <br /> 18 head is required and shall be located 8" below the secondary power ' <br /> 19 lines. In general, the Contractor will be responsible for trenching to <br /> 20 within 6" of the PUD installed pedestal at the base of the service <br /> 21 pole. 1 <br /> 22 <br /> 23 B) Service Connections: The Contractor shall obtain a City of Everett <br /> 24 Electrical Permit from the Contracting Agency at no cost. <br /> 25 Coordinate with the Engineer a minimum of 30 days prior to <br /> 26 connection for all Electrical Permits. When the service is ready to be <br /> 27 hooked up, the Contractor shall contact the Engineer to request an <br /> 28 electrical inspection. After the service has been approved for hook <br /> 29 up, the City shall contact the Snohomish County PUD and they will <br /> 30 make the service connections to the power supply at a cost to be <br /> 31 paid by the City.
