Conduit risers shall 13 be constructed in accordance with Everett Standard Plan No. 820. 14 The bottom 10' of the riser shall be galvanized steel or Schedule 80 15 PVC and the remaining portion shall be Schedule 40 PVC orIl 16 Schedule 80 PVC. The riser shall be installed on a standoff with 4" 17 minimum clearance between the conduit and the pole. A weather 18 head is required and shall be located 8" below the secondary power ' 19 lines. In general, the Contractor will be responsible for trenching to 20 within 6" of the PUD installed pedestal at the base of the service 21 pole. 1 22 23 B) Service Connections: The Contractor shall obtain a City of Everett 24 Electrical Permit from the Contracting Agency at no cost. 25 Coordinate with the Engineer a minimum of 30 days prior to 26 connection for all Electrical Permits. When the service is ready to be 27 hooked up, the Contractor shall contact the Engineer to request an 28 electrical inspection. After the service has been approved for hook 29 up, the City shall contact the Snohomish County PUD and they will 30 make the service connections to the power supply at a cost to be 31 paid by the City.
