Q8WTT <br /> 2 Add the following new section: <br /> 3 <br /> 4 1-08.0(1) Preconstruction Conference <br /> 5 (October 10, 2008 APWA GSP) I <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Prior to the Contractor beginning the work, a preconstruction conference will be held <br /> 8 between the Contractor, the Engineer and such other interested parties as may be <br /> 9 invited. The purpose of the preconstruction conference will be: <br /> 10 1. To review the initial progress schedule; <br /> 11 2. To establish a working understanding among the various parties associated or <br /> 12 affected by the work; <br /> 13 3. To establish and review procedures for progress payment, notifications, approvals, <br /> 14 submittals, etc.; <br /> 15 4. To establish normal working hours for the work; <br /> 16 5. To review safety standards and traffic control; and <br /> 17 6. To discuss such other related items as may be pertinent to the work. I <br /> 18 <br /> 19 The Contractor shall prepare and submit at the preconstruction conference the following: <br /> 20 1. A breakdown of all lump sum items; I <br /> 21 2. A preliminary schedule of working drawing submittals; and <br /> 22 3. A list of material sources for approval if applicable. <br /> 23 _ <br /> 24 Ett8 0 - WW.RF <br /> 25 Add the following new section: <br /> 26 <br /> 27 1-08.0(2) Hours of Work <br /> 28 (December 8, 2014 APWA GSP) <br /> 29 I 30 Except in the case of emergency or unless otherwise approved by the Engineer, the <br /> 31 normal working hours for the Contract shall be any consecutive 8-hour period between <br /> 32 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, exclusive of a lunch break. If the <br /> 33 Contractor desires different than the normal working hours stated above, the request <br /> 34 must be submitted in writing prior to the preconstruction conference, subject to the <br /> 35 provisions below. The working hours for the Contract shall be established at or prior to <br /> 36 the preconstruction conference. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 All working hours and days are also subject to local permit and ordinance conditions <br /> 39 (such as noise ordinances). <br /> 40 <br /> 41 If the Contractor wishes to deviate from the established working hours, the Contractor <br /> 42 shall submit a written request to the Engineer for consideration. This request shall state <br /> 43 what hours are being requested, and why. Requests shall be submitted for review no <br /> 44 later than ***3 days*** prior to the day(s) the Contractor is requesting to change the <br /> 45 hours. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 If the Contracting Agency approves such a deviation, such approval may be subject to <br /> 48 certain other conditions, which will be detailed in writing.
