I 4 5 The Contractor shall provide the Contracting Agency copies of any calculations and 6 staking data when requested by the Engineer. I 7 8 To facilitate the establishment of these lines and elevations, the Contracting Agency will 9 provide the Contractor with primary survey control information consisting of descriptions I 10 of two primary control points used for the horizontal and vertical control, and 11 descriptions of two additional primary control points for every additional three miles of 12 project length. Primary control points will be described by reference to the project I 13 alignment and the coordinate system and elevation datum utilized by the project. In 14 addition, the Contracting Agency will supply horizontal coordinates for the beginning 15 and ending points and for each Point of Intersection (PI) on each alignment included in 16 the project. I 17 18 The Contractor shall ensure a surveying accuracy within the following tolerances: 19 I 20 Vertical Horizontal 21 Slope stakes ±0.10 feet ±0.10 feet 22 Subgrade grade stakes set I 23 0.04 feet below grade ±0.01 feet ±0.5 feet 24 (parallel to alignment) 25 ±0.1 feet I 26 (normal to alignment) 27 28 Stationing on roadway N/A ±0.1 feet I 29 Alignment on roadway N/A ±0.04 feet 30 Surfacing grade stakes ±0.01 feet ±0.5 feet 31 (parallel to alignment) I 32 ±0.1 feet 33 (normal to alignment) 34 35 Roadway paving pins for I 36 surfacing or paving ±0.01 feet ±0.2 feet 37 (parallel to alignment) 38 ±0.1 feet I 39 (normal to alignment) 40 41 The Contracting Agency may spot-check the Contractor's surveying. These spot- t 42 checks will not change the requirements for normal checking by the Contractor. 43 44 When staking roadway alignment and stationing, the Contractor shall perform I 45 independent checks from different secondary control to ensure that the points staked 46 are within the specified survey accuracy tolerances. 47 I 48 The Contractor shall calculate coordinates for the alignment.
