No <br /> 23 concrete shall be placed until the Engineer has reviewed the mix design. The required <br /> 24 average 28-day compressive strength shall be selected in accordance with ACI 301, <br /> 25 Chapter 4, Section 4.2.3.3. ACI 211.1 shall be used to determine proportions. All <br /> 26 proposed concrete mixes except Class 4000D shall meet the requirements in <br /> 27 Cementitious Requirement for Concrete in Section 6-02.3(2). <br /> 28 <br /> 29 In the fourth paragraph, the fourth sentence is deleted. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 The sixth paragraph is revised to read: <br /> 32 <br /> 33 A retarding admixture is required in concrete Class 4000P. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 The seventh paragraph is deleted. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 The eighth paragraph is revised to read: <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Air content for concrete Class 4000D shall conform to Section 6-02.3(2)A1.
