January 2, 2013 <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Katrina Lindahl, Everett, spoke about the Riverfront property. She <br /> encouraged the city council to support development of high quality anchor <br /> stores rather than big box stores on the site. <br /> Debra Bryant, CAO/CFO, stated the property disposition agreement will <br /> go with the property even if it is assigned. To date, the city has no further <br /> details; however, there will be a briefing next Wednesday, January 9, <br /> 2013. <br /> Council Member Gipson asked Debra Bryant to provide a copy of the <br /> disposition paper to each council member prior to the council meeting <br /> next week. <br /> ACTION ITEM: <br /> DISCUSSION AND APPOINTMENT OF CANDIDATE FOR POSITION <br /> NO. 3 <br /> President Moore thanked Council Member Gipson for his efforts to assure <br /> an expeditious and transparent process, and he reviewed the process for <br /> filling the vacant seat on the council. <br /> Annie Lyman, Everett, thanked Council Member Gipson for making the <br /> process transparent, and she encouraged the council to consider citizen <br /> votes taken in the last election when making the appointment. <br /> Council members offered comments about the process and the <br /> candidates being considered for the appointment. <br /> President Moore asked for nominations from each council member, <br /> opened the nominations, and reported that Council Members Affholter, <br /> Bader, and Moore nominated Scott Murphy. Council Members <br /> Stonecipher and Roberts nominated June Robinson, and Council Member <br /> Gipson's nomination went to Pete Kinch. <br /> 2 <br />
