The award is to <br /> reimburse costs of on-the-water patrols and boating education classes. This amendment increases <br /> the Police Departments budget for the amount of the grant. <br /> Council authorized the Mayor to accept this grant award at the June 27, 2012,Council meeting. <br /> Increase Police OT Budget 031 5220000120 55,973 <br /> Increase Grant Revenue 002 3336702400 55,973 <br /> tea= r. ;: <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> GGA-13 Police Amendment-Traffic Safety Grant 031A 3,000 <br /> GGA-13 General Fund Amendment-Traffic Safety Grant 002A 3,000 <br /> The Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC) provides funding for Snohomish County law <br /> enforcement agencies to participate in the Target Zero Teams project. The goal is to reduce the <br /> number of people killed or seriously injured by impaired drivers in Snohomish County through <br /> aggressive, multijurisdictional, high-visibility patrols using an integrated systems approach to <br /> traffic safety, which is evidenced-based and targets the locations where the most safety benefit <br /> can be realized. Amendment number 1 to the Memorandum of Understanding with the WTSC <br /> adjusted the original award of$10,000 to $13,000.
