26. Section 16.76.030 of the �erett Municipal Code requires the installation <br /> of an automatic fir detection system in all buildings over 3,000 square <br /> feet. Such a system shall consist of any approved combination of heat <br /> and/or smoke detectors and shall be monitored by an approved central <br /> station. <br /> The fire alarm system plans shall be submitted to the fire department for <br /> review and approval prior to installation. It shall be installed under <br /> permit of the building department. , <br /> A complete trip test shall be performed in the presence of a fire <br /> iaspector prior to acceptance and issuance of a Certificate of Occupaacy. <br /> Call 259-8726 for further information. <br /> 27. Provide a sprinkler sqstem complying with UBC Standard 38-1 and/or NPPA <br /> Standard 13. <br /> Plans for any such system must be submitted to the Building Department and <br /> the �erett Fire Department for esamination and approval. Such plans must <br /> include plaas for the uaderground mains that will supply the sprinkler <br /> system. <br /> As of January 1991, sprinkler system permits are issued by the Building <br /> Departmeat. Plan review fees are r.ssessed by the Building Department. No <br /> fee is assessed by the Fire Departaent. <br /> Aboveground sprinkler piping Fust be hydrostatically teated as established <br /> in NFPA Standard 13. Underoround piping must be hydrostatically tested <br /> and flushed as established in NFPA Staadard 24 for private fire malns. <br /> All such tests must be witaessed by a Fire Department inspector. Call <br /> 259-8710 to make an appointment for iaspection. <br /> Contractors materials and test certificates must be submitted to the <br /> E�erett Fire Department prior to issuance of any Certificate of Occupancy. <br /> 28. Fire laaes must be provided as required in �erett Municipal Code 46.44. � <br /> Fire lanes must be identified by red curba with white stencil stating "NO � <br /> pARRING - FIRE LANE•" Vertical signa stating "NO PARRING - FIRE LANE - <br /> TOW AWAY ZONE" to be located as approved by the Fire Marshal. <br /> 29.
