a. Soil in stockpiles should be stabilized or protected with <br /> sediment-[rapping measures to prevent soil loss. All <br /> eaposed areas at f; ial grade, or areas that are not <br /> schP�uled for work for more than 20 days, ahould be <br /> stacilized within 10 days during the period from April 1 to <br /> October 31 or immediately during the period running from <br /> November 1 to March 31. <br /> b. Clearing lim3ts and/or any easements or required buffers <br /> should be staked and flagged in the field. <br /> c. A permanent vegetative cover should be established on , <br /> denuded areas at final grade if they are not otherwise <br /> permanently stabilized. <br /> d. Properties adjacent to the site of a land disturbance <br /> should be protected from sediment deposition through the <br /> use of buffers or other perimetes control, such as filter <br /> fence or sediment basins. <br /> e. Atl types of sediment control, such as sediment ponds or <br /> traps, should be constructed as a first step in grading and <br /> be made functional before any up-slope disturbance takes <br /> place. <br /> �. Cut and/or fill slopes should be designed to minimize <br /> erosion. Methods such as slope roughening, terraces or <br /> pipe slope drains may be used. <br /> g. All temporary erosion control systems should be designed to <br /> contaiu the runoff from the deve3oned 2-year, 24-hour <br /> design storm without eroding. ' <br /> h. Provision should be made to minimize the tracking of <br /> sediment by coastruction vehicles oato paved public reaaa. � <br /> If sediment is deposited, it should be cleaned everq dav by <br /> shovelling or sweeping. Water cleaning should onlq be done <br /> after the area has been shovelled out or swept. <br /> i. Paint and vall finishing equipment wash water should be <br /> dispoaed of in a way which wilJ. aot adversery impact the <br /> water quality of the state. <br /> j.
