As Achilles USA, Inc. operated certain sections of its manufacturing on a 23=4/7 rQtating shift
schedule with persannel arriving and Isaving at the follawing tirrtes: 6:00 AM. — 2:30 PM,
7:00 AM — 3:30 PM, 8:00 AM — 4:30 PM, 3:00 PM — 11:30 PM, and lastly 11:00 PM — 7:30 AM.
4. Even though the proposed building covers an area of 31,524 square feet, more than half is
devoted to warehouse space, and remaining production area will only require a maximum of 5
persons.
5. Since the purpose af the new proposed manufacturing facility is to replace a possible declining
market for PVC film which is presently manufactured at #he same location, any changes in
inbound or outbound deliveries should remain consistent with present amount.
In summary, even fhough the size of the new proposed manufiacturing building will be 31,524 square
feet, the personnel required to operate this new manufacturing facility will be no more fhan five persons.
Our present parking areas have more than 160 parking stalls available and with rotating shifts and a
Commune Trip Reduction Plan in place, there are between 35 to 70 parking stalls available at any
given time.
We ai Achiiles USA, lnc. afso be(ieve that the less paved areas you can avoid, the better an
enuirormentaliy sound practice.
With the precading information and, as far as we can be determined, this request for modifica#ion of
parking requirement under Section 34.070D of the Zoning Code should have no adverse impact or be
inconsistent with the goais and policies af the City of Everett in Medium Manufacturing Zone.
Traffic Engineer's Comment
Apparently this is the parking memo that they had originally submitted to Dave Tyler. It was included as
a part of the review packefi for SEPA 10-021 (the page immediately befiore the Environmental Checklist
in my copy). The parking occupancy data cited in this memo is very much in line with my direct
observations of site parking (approximately 50% to 60°/a occupied during peak parking periods). This
report adequately addresses the parking needs for this project. Based on this memo Traffic Engineering
supports the applicant's request for a parking reduction for this site.
Right in AppeaL• This is an administrative decision which is appealable to the City's Land Use Hearing
Examiner. You may appeal this determination within fourteen (14) days by filing an appeai on forms
provided by the Planning Department and a fee to the Planning/Community Developmeni Permit
Services Counter at 3200 Cedar 5treet, 2nd Floar.
