3. Elevations of all revised or new toilet rooms are required to show floor, base and wall treatments, per <br />IBC section 1210. <br />4. A door schedule should be included on the drawings to indicate new doors, existing doors to be re- <br />used, door sizes, vision lites (if any), and hardware, for the access to and egress from the new tenant <br />improvement, to comply with IBC section 1008. <br />5. Toilet room exhaust fans should be shown on the architectural drawings, per IMC table 403.3. <br />6. The method of air supply and exhaust for the new spaces should be indicated on the architectural <br />drawings, where the wall or ceiling openings affect egress fire resistance, requires new louvers, or <br />require rooftop or exterior mechanical equipment, per IBC 1203.1. <br />Accessibility <br />1. The accessible route to the sanctuary should be shown on the drawings, to include an accessible <br />entrance, per IBC section 3411.8.1. <br />2. The accessible route to the toilet rooms should be shown on the drawings, to include an accessible <br />entrance, per IBC section 3411.7. <br />3. Elevations of all tenant improvements to the toilet rooms should be shown on the drawings to indicate <br />fixture locations, clearances, and heights, per IBC A117.1-2009 chapter 6. The extent of the <br />alterations should be clarified by showing the extent of demolition, and the extent of new work on the <br />drawings. <br />Energy <br />1. New walls and ceilings adjacent to unheated space should indicate insulation, per WSEC section <br />C101.4.3. <br />Upon resubmission of the drawings, plan review will resume and your application will be given priority. All <br />required submittals must be of sufficient detail and information to ensure that the proposed structure will be <br />constructed in compliance with all adopted codes. <br />These comments address building issues only. Revisions or additions may be required by other departments <br />(Utilities, Public Works, or Planning). Code references cited include the 2012 International Building Code <br />(IBC), 2012 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2012 International Mechanical Code (IMC), the 2012 Uniform <br />Plumbing Code (UPC), the 2012 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC), and the ICC/ANSI A117.1-2009 <br />Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities.
