The architectura/ drawings submitted are dated 1979, which show areas <br />of work as existing that have already been shown as demo/ished on the <br />recent permit B1305-024. <br />SABA Response: See attached Demo drawings A2.1 & A2.2 and <br />Architectural Construction drawings A2.3, A2.4. <br />Structural: <br />1. Based on the assembly occupant /oad, the latera/ design of the f/oor rep/acement <br />for an increased /oad shou/d be shown to meet the requirements for occupancy <br />category III, per IBC 1604. Structura/ components of the /oad path must be <br />detailed and included in the construction documents. <br />DCI Response: See revised calculations; category III has been used <br />with an importance factor of 1.25. Plans remain unchanged, as they <br />remained adequate for the increase in lateral loading of the <br />new/introduced components to the existing structure/system. A door <br />was added per new Architectural backgrounds (8/12/2013) and <br />integrated to our plan set and calculations. The door was placed in an <br />existing wall, but a non-shear wall. <br />(MRT, P.E, Proj. Mngr, DCI Engineers) Date: 8/13/2013 <br />Occupancy: <br />1. The occupancy reuisions from fixed seating to chairs shou/d be shown on the <br />architectura/ drawings, since this has created the requirement for a structura/ <br />re�ision, per IBC table 1607,1. <br />a. Occupancy calculation assumptions based on use and square footage, <br />shou/d be included in the code ana/ysis, per IBC table 1004.1.1. <br />b. Please indicate if a re�ised certificate of occupancy is requested at the <br />conclusion of the final inspection. If yes, then the occupancy load <br />calcu/ations shou/d indude existing rooms for a total occupant /oad of the <br />building, <br />SABA Response: See attached Life Safety drawing sheet A1.2 for <br />occupancy calculations and occupant load calculations. <br />2.
