3 <br /> 6. As the design of the pipeline proceeded based on Alternative Route#1 as shown in the <br /> Alternatives Evaluation Report, a less costly route became evident. The alternative route <br /> following Everett Avenue rather than 25th Street will reduce the length of the section to <br /> be tunneled under the railroad tracks and will minimize work in wetlands. Evaluation <br /> of the alternative route along Everett Avenue will require additional geotechnical <br /> exploration (two borings) and additional survey&mapping. <br /> 7. City staff has requested that the 30 percent design of the pump station be revised to <br /> show the pump station facilities located on top of the existing CCC. This work will <br /> include an inspection of the CCC, revisions to the 30%documents, revisions to the <br /> opinion of probable cost, and providing a recommendation regarding coating of the <br /> walls. <br /> Schedule <br /> As a result of the items listed above,modifications to the schedule are necessary.
