1 <br /> 5 <br /> • <br /> 1.9 Dogs that have bitten people shall be quarantined for a period of ten days. In <br /> addition to quarantine, dangerous dogs, as defined by Chapter 9.10 SCC (Snohomish <br /> County Code), and habitual attacker animals, as defined by SCC 9.12.125, shall be <br /> disposed of in the manner provided for in Title 9 SCC. <br /> 1.10 Unlicensed dogs and cats that are deemed by the manager or County <br /> personnel to be wild, diseased, or unfit for adoption, may be disposed of immediately. <br /> 1.11 No animal that by County ordinance must be licensed may be released until <br /> it is properly licensed and all applicable fees have been paid by the person seeking release <br /> of the animal. The City shall act as a duly authorized licensing authority for the sale of <br /> County animal licenses and shall collect the licensing fee specified in SCC 9.04.040 as <br /> now enacted or hereafter amended. License fees collected by the City animal shelter <br /> personnel shall be remitted by warrant/check to the County Auditor on a monthly basis. <br /> All other documents generated as a result of this Agreement shall be forwarded to the <br /> Snohomish County Auditor in accordance with the Auditor's administrative policies and <br /> procedures. <br /> 1.12 All impound and board fees as established by the City will be paid to the <br /> City and, pursuant to this Agreement, shall become the property of the City. All impound <br /> and board fees should be commensurate with those established by the County. If the <br /> County incurs a transportation fee, the City shall collect the fee as provided in Chapter <br /> 9.12.110 SCC as now enacted or hereafter amended. Transportation fees collected by the <br /> City for the County shall be the property of the County and shall be remitted to the <br /> County Auditor in the monthly remittance warrant/check. <br /> 1.13 The City reserves the right to refuse acceptance of certain species of animals <br /> other than dogs and cats where, in the City's opinion, it does not have facilities <br /> appropriate or available to accommodate the needs of such animals. The City further <br /> reserves the right to refuse any animal, including dogs and cats, if the animal shelter is at <br /> its maximum capacity. The animal shelter's manager shall have authority to make such <br /> determinations. <br /> 1.14 The County shall provide the City with any proposed and current copies of <br /> all applicable policies, procedures, County ordinances, and subsequent amendments <br /> affecting this agreement.
