The slope of �:rmanent fill embankment should not be <br />steeper than 2H:1 V. Upon completion, the sloping face of pertnnnent f II embankments should <br />be thoroughly compacted to n non-yielding state �vith a hoe-pack. <br />I he abovc rccommended cut and fill slopes ure unJer the assumption that groundwater seepage <br />will �ot he cncountered during construction. lf groundwater seepage is encounlercd, the <br />construction should bc immcdiately ht+lted and the slope stabiliry rc-cvuluated.
