`-� � �ZC� �t� �-��c,( ��� i� � I.l ri, �,_iY��- . <br />January 27, 1993 <br />Moved by Councilman Pope, seconded by Councilman Anderson to close <br />the public hearing. <br />Roll was called with all councilmen vo�ng yes. <br />Motion carried. <br />RFSOLLi'1'fON - 8220 BEVERLY BOtn EVARD <br />Moved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by Councilman Pope to adopt <br />Resolutioo No. 3733 amending t6e I.and Use Map of the Everett General <br />Plan for property located at 5220 Beverly Boulevard as foUows: <br />WHEREAS, Carole Harrington has applied for an amendment to the land use <br />designadon of the Land Use Map of the Everett General Plan for property <br />located at 8220 Beverly Boulevazd, from "Single Family Detached, 1 to 5 <br />Dwellings Per Gross Acre" to "Office;" in order to rezone the property for the <br />purpose of establishing a small retail business on the premises; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a Public Hearing on <br />November 17, 1992, and considered the tesfimony of the applicant and of the <br />public, and recommended that the City Council approve a change of the land <br />use designadon of the Land Use Map of the Everett General Plan from "Single <br />Family Detached, 1 to 5 Dwellings Per Gross Acre" w"Neighborhood <br />Business;" and <br />WfiEREAS, the City Council finds the following: <br />1. The Everett Zoning Code requims that in order for a rewne to be approved, <br />that the proposed zoning be wnsistent with the land use designation of the <br />Everett General Plan; and <br />2. T'he circumstances which have changed in the viciniry of the subject property <br />since the adopfion of the commercial land use policies of the Everett General <br />Plan in 1987 include the more intensive development of the property to the <br />south of the subject site, and the establishment of a traffic signal for the <br />mtersection at which the subject property is located; and <br />3. With a revision to the applicant's request for amendments to the Land Use <br />Map and Zoning Map and appropriate limitations on the use and intensity of <br />commercial development permitted on the subject property, the use of the site <br />for commercial purposes could be made compatible with surrounding residential <br />properties; and <br />34 <br />
