Everett School District <br />SPU 4-90 <br />Page -3- <br />11. There will be approximately 51 staff members at the North Middle School <br />upon the completion of the development. According to the City's <br />Interpretation of the parking needs for this project, 56 parking spaces <br />are needed. <br />12. The Applicant, in its submittal, proposed ten additional parking spaces <br />to the existing 117 spaces. The Applicant indicated that there ten <br />parking spaces were provided without information about what the city's <br />parking policy for this project. The Applicant indicated that its <br />preference would be to eliminate the ten parking spaces and use the <br />space a location for future portables. <br />13. The proposed addition will be a one-story structure that will satisfy <br />the size, height, and design requirements of the City. The setbacks and <br />orientation will also be compatible with the other uses in the area. <br />14. In addition to the general design of the building, landscaping will be <br />provided adjacent to the new addition. The landscaping will enhance the <br />addition, the general design of the building, and the aesthetics of the <br />entire area. <br />15. <br />16. <br />17. <br />The Applicant will submit a landscaping plan that will conform to the <br />Zoning Code requirements. <br />Other than a building identification sign, there are no signs proposed <br />on -site. The application satisfies the sign requirements for the City <br />of Everett. <br />During construction, noise levels will be increased. However, after <br />construction the noise levels will be similar or equal to the existing <br />noises. <br />18. The Everett General Plan designates the subject property as Schools and <br />Churches. The proposed use is compatible with the Comprehensive Plan. <br />19. The Everett School District will construct the project in a manner that <br />will be consistent with the ordinances of the City of Everett and the <br />statutes of the State of Washington. Further, all federal regulations <br />will be satisfied. <br />20. No public testimony was received at this hearing. <br />21. At the hearing a letter was received from Mr. 6 Mrs. William Kennedy. <br />The author of the letter in3'_cated that he _did not want the athletic <br />field at the school to be developed with the addition. A spokesman for <br />the Everett Planning Department indicated that the proposed addition is <br />not to be located in the area in which the letter writer thought was <br />described. <br />
