Responsibilities of Owners Monitoring Technician: <br /> 1. Inspect areas of abatement and conduct final clearance sampliny in areas of asbestos <br /> abatement to ensure removai of asbestos materials and airbome asbestos fibers. <br /> Asbestos samples to by anelyzed by Phase Contrast Microscopy. <br /> C. Contredor Responsibiliry <br /> 1. Contractors Air Moniroring Technician - Contractors air monitoring technician and <br /> laboratory qualifications: Technician may be an Industrial Hygienist, Environmental <br /> Scien�st, or Laboratory Technician with experience in asbestos and lead air i <br /> monitoring. Inspectors analyzing asbestos samples must have success(uly oompleted <br /> a NIOSH 582 cr equivalent course and be currently participadnp in NIOSH Proficiency <br /> Analytical Testing Program(PAn.Laboratory providing lead analysis shall be proficient <br /> in the AIHA Proflciency Analytical Tesdng Program (PA� for analysis of lead dust <br /> samples by AAS. <br /> � 2. Contractor's Air Monitoring Technician shall perfortn persor.,�� afr monitoring as <br /> required to meet OSHA and WISHA requirement for meintenence of Time Weighted <br /> Average (TWA) air-bome counts for types of respiratory protection provided. <br /> Contractors Air Monitoring Technician shail perform area air monitoring inside and <br /> outside of abatement areas per regulations. Submit results of personal and area ' <br /> asbestos moniioring to the Owner on a daily basis. Submit copies of lead monitoring � <br /> to Owner within 72 hours. � <br /> • I <br /> CLEANING <br /> A. Carty out a cleaning of all surfaces of the work area including polyethylene sheeting,tools, � <br /> scattolding and/or staging by use of demp�cleaning arxYor a High E(ficiency Particulate Air <br /> (HEPA)filtere�!vacuum. Wiping cloths will not be rinsed and reused,but disCarded in 6 mil <br /> debris bags kept available for this purpose.Use no dirty rags. <br /> 8. Clean all sealed impertneable containers and all equipment and remove from work area <br /> through the equipment decontamination enclosure system. <br /> C. Remove any drop sheets or secondary bartiers from walis and floors and dispose of as <br /> asbestos containing wsste materials. <br /> D. Pertorm second wet cleaning and HEPA-vacuuming of all su�faces in wotk area. � <br /> ( E.
