Storage <br />Room ",10 wili serve as linen storage for the Nursing Lab beda. See resubmitted si�Qet <br />A123 � eflected ceiling plan (or note for ihis room requiring smoke sealed walls and <br />cei;ings as required per 508.2.5.2. All assembly occupancies identified in IBC <�ction 303, or defined by the fundion of the space <br />per IBC table 1004.1.1, sliould have the occ;upant load oi the room or space posted near the <br />main exit or exit access doorv+ay, and shown on lhe drawings, per IBC seclion 1004.3. <br />Response: See 1,5,11 & 78IA422 for typical maximum occupancy sign locations at <br />assembly occupancies (classrooms an,i computer labs with 50 or more occupants�. <br />Also attached is the signage specification that schedules these sig�s posted in all <br />assembly rooms. See section 10 14 00 paragreph 3.3.A.3. <br />Construction <br />1. Shaft enclosures of four stories or more should be shown on lhe drawings as two hour fire- <br />resistance rated construction, since lhe basement is considered a story, per IBC seclion <br />708.4. <br />Response: The elevator shaft and adjacent mechanical shaft that rise from the <br />Basement ta the 3`" floor have 2•hour shaft walls as shown on the resubmitted <br />drawings A700 — A103 and indicated as partition types 31 and 32 on Sheet A541. <br />2. The skylight areas over the atrium should be shown on lhe lhird floor reilected ceiling plan, <br />since they are less than 55 feet above the floor and will require sprinkiers, per IBC section <br />404.3. <br />Response: The skylight above ihe atrium is shown on the Penthouse Retlected ceiling <br />plan on Sheet A104 since the elevation of the skylight is above this level. Showing <br />them at the 3rd floor levei RCP would look congested with other 3"' floor ceiling <br />clements. <br />3. Partilion types 22, 24, 25 and 30 should reference a UL assembly that has two studs with a <br />space in between. <br />Response: These paRition types have updated UL types indicated as .:�own on the <br />resubmitted A541 sheet. <br />4. The opening area around stair 3 should be dimensioned, per IBC section 708.2.2 exception <br />2.1. <br />Response: See Sheet A412 for the dimensions of this stair opening. <br />��� <br />
