The electricat room in the basement will n.quire panic hardware if the equipment is <br />rated 1200 amperes or more and over six feet wide with controi devices, per IBC <br />section 1008.1.10. <br />Response: All doors from assembly occupancies have panic hardware as specified in <br />the project specifications including the exit doors in the Elec2rical Room in the <br />Basement. Doo�s requiring a fire rating are indicated on the Sheet A602 - Door <br />Schedule. <br />10. Exit sipns shouid be shown on the drawings, per IBC section 1011.1. <br />Response: This item is redundant to Item 3 of thit General comments. Same answer. <br />11. Emergency lighting should be shown on tha drawings, per IBC seclion 1006.1. <br />Response: This item is redundant to Item 3 of the General camments. Same anawer. <br />12, Tactile exit signs should be shown on the drawings, per IBC section 1011.3. <br />Response: This item is redundant to Item 3 of the Goneral comments. Same answer. <br />Accessibility <br />1. Please number individual parking stalls and indicate a summary table on an architectural site <br />plan of parking spaces provided, including the required number and type of accessible parking <br />spaces, per IBC section 1�06. During plan review, it appears lhat the soulh parking area only <br />has 37 stalis, but 43 stalis are noted on the landscape site plan (L300). <br />Response: Individual parking stalls have been numbered on Sheet C701 Horizontal <br />Controi and Paving Plan. A summary table is included on this sheet, indicating the <br />number and typo of accessible stalls required in each parking lot, and the number <br />provided. <br />2. Where more than one parking facility is provided on a site, the number of parking spaces <br />required to be accessible is to be calculated separately, per IBC section 1106.1. <br />Response: The requirement is noted, and the accessible parfcing spacos are <br />recalculated based on two parki�g facilities. <br />3. One of the parking spaces in each parking area should be identified on the drawings as van <br />accessible, per IBC section 1106.5. The van parking space requires: <br />a. 132 inches minimum width, unless the access aisle is 96 inches wide, per ICCIANSI <br />A117.1-2003 section 502.2. <br />Response: At least one van accessible parking space has been provided in each <br />parking area. The stalls and aisles meet the width requirements listed above. <br />b. Signage: 60 inches measured to the bottom oi the sign above the floor of ihe parking <br />space, per ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 section 502.7. Although the civil plan drawings <br />sheet C703 does have the required signage for the van parking spot, a reference to <br />this sheet from the Grading plan C401 was not found. -� <br />� <br />' �l•�IJ <br />
