Per previous correspondence on this project, building additions to the church would either require a fire wall, separating the addition from the church, or that the church would be sprinklered and fire alarmed, per the requirements of the 1992 City of Everett Automatic Fire detection and Suppression Ordinance. Following is our review of your code reference summary. IBC 2003 704.3: Buildings on the same lot and the imaginary property line. Assuming a zero lot line between the two buildings would be more restrictive than what is required, since it would create a party wall condition in the code.
