Southwest Nerett and the Paine Field area have experienced rapid <br /> gcowth over the past ten years. �Vith the new residential population in <br /> the area, new schools ace needed. '[he DeparCnent of Wildlife recommended that a 50' buffer of natural <br /> vegetation be established arourui the larger bog. It also recomnended <br /> that this area be fenced. 1rie fence, according to the Department as <br /> implied ir. the letter, is neceasary to pcotect fran encroachment of the <br /> azea fran nornal school activities. (exhibit 6) <br /> 14. 'Ihe Department of F7cology submitted camients about the larger bog and <br /> recomnended that an 100' buffer should be required around the perimeter <br /> of the bog. 'ifie City indicated that fencing, a 50' natural buffer, and <br /> lack oE pedestrian access into the bog will adequately protect this <br /> environmental feature and will not impact the entire site nor the bog. <br /> (�chibit 6, Doughty testimony) <br /> 19. 1t�e City of Everett TYaffic �gineer requested a modification of the <br /> Dt15 as adopted by the City to reflect the Eollowina additional <br /> crondition: <br /> Crossing guards must be provided at the intersection of West Casino �I <br /> Road and Sth Avenue Weat during peak student arrival and departura <br /> times as deemed necessary by the City's Traffic E7ngineer. � <br /> ii <br /> � <br />
