Certificates and guarantees are those submittals on equipment and <br /> materials where a written certificate or guarantee from the <br /> manufacwrer or supplicr is called for in the specifications. <br /> B. Quality Requirements: <br /> 1. Submittals such as drawings and data submitted to Engineer shall be of the <br /> quality for legibility and reproduction purposes, with every line, character and <br /> letter clearly legible, and for such drawings as reproducible useable for further <br /> reproduction to yield legible hard wpy. <br /> 2. Documents submitted to the Enginar that do not confQ rtn to these <br /> requimmenta ahall be subject to rejection by the Enginter, and upon request, <br /> Contractor shall resubmit wnfortning documents. If conforming submittals <br /> cannot be obtained, such documents shall be retraced, redrawn or <br /> photographically restored as may be necessary to meet such requirements. <br /> Contractor'a (or his subcontractor's) failuro to initiaily satisty the legibility <br /> quality requirements will not relieve Contractor (or his subcontracrors) from <br /> meeting the required schedule for submittal of drawings and data. <br /> C. Language and Dimensions: <br /> 1. All words and dimensional units shall be in the English language. <br /> 2. Metric dimensional unit equivalents may be stated in addition to the English <br /> units. <br /> D. Submittel Completeness: <br /> 1. Submittals ahail be complete with respect to dimensions, design criteria, <br /> materials of constn�ction and other in[ortnation apecified to enatle Engineer to <br /> review the infortnation effectively. Details ahall be identified by reference to <br /> shcet and detail shown on Contract Drawinga. <br /> 2. Where standerd drawinge aro furnished which cover a number of variations of <br /> the general claca of equtpment, each such dtawing ahall be individually <br /> annotated to deacribe exaMly which parta of the drawing apply to the <br /> equipmrnt being fumished. Such annotation shall also include proper <br /> idenlification of the aubmittal pemianently attached to the drawing. <br /> 3. Reproduction or copies of Contract Drawings or portians thereof will not be <br /> accepted as complete fabrication or erection drawings, but will be acceptable <br /> when used by Contractor as a drawing upon which to indicate infom�ation on <br /> erection or to identify detail drawings. <br /> 1.3 GENERAL SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES <br /> SUDMI7"fALS 01300 - 2 <br />
