If the substitution is accepted, Contractor shall pay all costs of extra labor and <br /> materials required by other Contractors and Subcontractors arising fortn <br /> incorporation of substitution into project, and provide additional drawings as <br /> required by Submittal Reviewer. <br /> 5. Contractor'a submittal and Submittal Reviewers acccptance of Shop Drawings, <br /> Product Data or Samples that relate to construction activities not complying <br /> with the Contract Documents does not constitute an accepteble or valid request <br /> for substitution, nor does it constitute approval. <br /> 8. Substitution Request: <br /> � I. Submit 3 copir: of each request for substitution in per the fartnn indicated a� <br /> , the end of this Section for consideration to Submittal Reviewer. <br /> 2. Identify manufacturer, product, material, equipment, or system to be replaccd <br /> in each request. Include related Specification Section and Drawing numbers. <br /> Provide complete documentation showing compliance with requirements for <br /> substitutions, and following information, az appropriate. <br /> a. Product Data, including drawings and descriptions of produc!s, <br /> fabrication and installation procedures. <br /> b. Samples, where appiicable or requated. <br /> c. Detailed comparison of significant qualities of proposed substitution <br /> with those of the work specified. Significant qualities may include <br /> clements such as siu, weight, dunbility, perfortnance and visual <br /> effxt. <br /> d. Coordination information, including list of changes or modifications <br /> naded ro other parta of the work and to construction performed by <br /> Owner and separate wntractors, that will become necessary to <br /> accommodate proposed substitution. <br /> e. Statement indicating substitution'a e(ket on Contrecror's Construction <br /> Schedule compared to achedule without approval of substitution. <br /> Indlcate effect of proposed substitutian on overail Contract Time. <br /> f. Cost information, including praposal of net chenge, if any, {�� the <br /> Contract Sum. <br /> g. Cectification by Contractor that substitution proposed is equal to or <br /> better in every significant respect to �hat required by the Contract <br /> Documents, and that it will perfortn adequately in application <br /> indicated. <br /> h. Any other data necessary to provide wund basis for comparison with <br /> specified items. <br /> 3. When required by Submittal Reviewer, substitutions shall be designed by a <br /> Professional Engineer registered in the State af Washington.
